Ohio is a state in the Midwestern United States. Partitioned from the Northwest Territory, Ohio was admitted to the Union as the 17th state.  Ohio is known as the “Buckeye State” and Ohioans are known as “Buckeyes” 

Ohio is bordered on the east by Pennsylvania. Kentucky and West Virginia to the south, Indiana to the west, Michigan and Lake Erie to the north.

Ohioans love sports - from major league football, baseball and hockey to minor league teams, there is something for every age and interest. Play ball, go swimming, golfing, hiking, birding, canoeing, camping or whatever your sport. So many choices make Ohio a fabulous place to visit.

Northwest Ohio is home to Cedar Point in Sandusky. Cedar Point features a world record of 72 rides, including 16 roller coasters with one of them being the world’s biggest!   Check out plane, train and auto museums or northwest Ohio’s old forts. If you want a Lake Erie Island adventure, hop on a ferry to Put-in-Bay.

Cleveland in Northeast Ohio is where you find the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame along with the Great Lakes Science Center. Nearby Canton is the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. From the shores of Lake Erie to the numerous museums, festivals and much more, northeast Ohio has plenty to do per mile.

One of the largest and most-loved fairs in the US, the Ohio State Fair is located in the Central part of the state. Dine, shop and stroll in German Village.  Take in symphonies, rock shows, balloon and pumpkin festivals and so much more. 

Love the great outdoors? You will love southwest Ohio, with a dozen state parks, six nature preserves and eight hunting and fishing areas. Have a blast on the beaches or boating on the Ohio River. Go shopping. Explore the Freedom Center, museums and historical sites Cincinnati has to offer.

Escape to adventure and explore Old Man's Cave in Hocking Hills. Take a wild ride through the woods by zip line or ATV. Rich with history, including the Hopalong Cassidy and Clark Gable museums and Captain Hook's Tomb, southeast Ohio holds the promise of lifelong memories in the making.

A day in Ohio Amish Country is like stepping back in time – share the roads with horses and buggies, shop for Amish-made goods and indulge in tasty homemade goodies in Sugarcreek Ohio.
